What is a job?

A job is a unit of work for a customer.

How do I create a job?

There are a number of ways to create a new job:

  • Use the "New job" shortcut link in the top bar.
  • From the Jobs tab click the "New job" link in the right sidebar.
  • From a customer record click the "New job" link in the right sidebar.
  • From the calendar click the shortcut arrow and then the "New job" link.

How do I edit a job?

From the job record click the "Edit job" link in the right sidebar.

How do I reschedule a job?

From the job record click the "Edit job" link in the right sidebar. From the edit screen you can adjust the scheduled date and time.

How do I unschedule a job?

From the job record click the "Edit job" link in the right sidebar. From the edit screen you can check the "Job is not scheduled" check box.

How do I complete a new job?

From the job record click the "Mark job completed" shortcut link in the right sidebar. This will mark the job complete with the current date and time. You can also manually set the completion date and time from the edit screen.

How do I delete a job?

From the job record click the "Delete job" link in the right sidebar.

How do I view all jobs?

Click the Job tab. All jobs are shown by default. You can use the various drop down lists at the top of the screen to filter your jobs by attributes such as scheduled time, job type, etc. The Jobs tab remembers these filters and will redisplay the same filtered data again if you navigate away and then return the Jobs tab.

How do I approve a job for synchronization to QuickBooks?

Click on the "QuickBooks" link in the top bar or from within the Settings tab. Check the box to the left of the job listing under the "Jobs to Approve" section.

Note: The job has to be marked complete and have one or more job charge in order to have it appear on this page.

How do I synchronize a job with QuickBooks?

Jobs will be automatically pushed over to QuickBooks as invoices during the next sync once they are completed and approved.
