Chet Eccles and Zack Chandler founded ServiceSidekick in 2006 based on the belief that service businesses needed a simpler solution to software.

Our Story
Chet and Zack first started working together in 2000 while running one of the largest independently-owned plumbing service companies in the US. During the company's rapid growth it became apparent that the home-grown system currently in use would no longer support the new size of the company. Managing over 450 service technicians in 18 branch offices was a logistical nightmare. And so the hunt for new software began...
Unfortunately no software at the time fit the needs of the company even after engaging many different vendors from the "big boys" like Siebel and Oracle all the way down to the various "mom & pop software shops". Very reluctantly the decision was made to build a custom software solution.
Though at the time developing online business software was not a common choice the pair understood the power of the hosted software model and began developing a custom solution that could instantly be accessed at any location with a web browser.
The resulting software was a highly customized, yet simple, web-based solution which managed: booking, scheduling, dispatching, call clearing, cashiering, AP and AR reporting and payroll.
After selling the service company Chet and Zack formed a partnership to develop new and even simpler online software designed to help service businesses grow and prosper. The resulting software became known as ServiceSidekick.
